Technology & madness in 2014

nakedsun-Dec2014Let’s face it, I wouldn’t be able to plonk myself in the middle of nowhere without technology.  Broadband allows me to work. Skype plays a big role in social interaction so much so that I feel like a character from Isaac Asimov’s The Naked Sun (1957),  ‘viewing’ opposed to ‘seeing’.  Hmmm.

On the other hand the world has gone a bit technology mad.

There are jeans that prevent digital pickpocketing to stop thieves hacking wirelessly into your contactless payment or passport information.

Smells that are sent through your smart phoneCreepy notwithstanding toxic.

Rubber iphones for those who are weaning themselves off their addiction. Nophone.

It has to be the best smart phone ever.  Check out the demo…

Then there’s Touchcast – interactive videos that update news and events in real-time used to great effectiveness by Will I Am has this review of 2014. The World is Crazy…

No wonder I’ve plonked myself in the middle of nowhere.

The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.
