Garden find: Wild garlic

My friend Sarah came for lunch and said to me “do you know you have wild garlic growing in your garden?”.  Clearly not.  So, super excited about this! She told me it was also called ‘society garlic’ in Victorian times as it was considered less pungent and more suitable for ladies who lunch.

Found on old screen in the garage and trying to dry a few for use later.  Also made me think about the garden in a completely new way.  Random things growing without any effort from me. So as I am going to be here all summer I bought a book on permaculture – let’s see where that takes us…
